While PD gave the proper method, I simply unplugged the steering wheel adjustment motors in the steering column. It took 10 minutes, most of which was spent getting the plastic cover over and off the little joy stick to move the steering wheel. Note that when you unplug the motors, you (obviously) loose the ability to adjust your steering wheel. So, make sure you set it where you want it before unplugging! My memory seats and mirrors still work, for those interested.

Funny you said that. I followed a diy for a SC to fix the gear but the LS is different. So while I was there I went ahead and unplugged it after setting it where I wanted it. I may just wire up a switch to turn it off and on if/when I want to move it. I also replaced the 2 bulbs in my 3rd brake light to fix the lamp failure. Then a locksmith came by today to cut my ebay key then I programmed it on the first try. So today has been very productive so far.
