I see someone else here has been to bluebird! I am there every other week for a quick sweet...

Glendale Ohio is truly an amazing place to take pictures in the fall and an all around beautiful place to live if you ever get the chance to visit.

Of course I only parked her there to take picture then moved

Now my problem is a silly one..That Lexus golden plate on the front of the car will not come off without me taking the bumper off. This is frustrating to no end and only a matter of time before I get a ticket.

I will keep everyone updated on my progress.....As for the wheels I do not think I intend on changing them simply becuase I like the understated look. They could sure use a special cleaning for the surface rust on them but being as the car is going to be used seldom and I am in college, I don't intent to spend too much on her.

My next car will have to be a black or dark red LS400 from 1999 and up....I love the new leather seats and dual climate controls..more horsepower and VVTI and that extra gear for the auto tranny...But I still like the styling of the 1991 better? Strange.

If anyone here ever wants to see my car and talk shop and such in Glendale I would be more than happy to

Yeah, I was there a long time ago, something like 1999. I was just passing through on a trip with my kids when they were younger. I just looked at some old pics and I have a couple from that spot, but it looks different. One thing is there were no bricks in the road when I parked there. Memories, memories, it's nice to bring up the good ones. Now I'll spend all night looking at my old pics. The reason I mentioned the wheels is I thought that front one was cracked, now that I looked at it better I see it's just dirt. (or brake dust) Keep it stock.

umm, get a close up of the plate, i'm 99.9% sure it screws in from the front

you do realize they make these things called screw-caps which are plastic caps that snap over the lic. plate screws. a screwdriver will pop them off.

well of course they are screws! No screw covers to be found on my vehicle

What I meant to say is that the screws dont come off. they are attached with something behind that spins with them when I turn them..so my only recourse is to take the bumper off.

Can't you reach it from the top if you open the hood? I don't remember what it looks like off the top of my head but I did take a radar detector out of mine that the original owner mounted right under the plate. I didn't have to pull the bumper.

don't think you can reach it from the top but know you can from underneath.

I bought the exact same color and interior color, 1994 $1,200.00.
Replaced steering pump, rack, tires, rotors, front struts; 245K miles
on her. I get 19.1 MPG overall; 411 miles to a tank full to empty.
I drive aggresively but leave it in overdriev. USES NO OIL!!! !USES NO OIL!!!
Jesus these are incredible vehicles!!!!
Oh and I had to replace all the midrange door speakers.
Just the naki cost 3,600.00 as an option in 1994. This vehicle is gold
and cost 70K out the door in '94! $70K IN '94!!!
I also removed the instrument cluster and replaced some inferior electrolytics;
now the instrument lights come on without having to wait for the cabin to warm the caps
up; fixed the fuel gage also.
1,200.00 bucks, I am going to repeat that. 1,200.00 bucks!
My full coverage insurance is 56.00 a month. 56 a month.
why in the f---- would I want a new one???? Why????
Did I tell ya I paid 1,200. bucks for this? Oh, okay
Why would a guy want a new one? I will keep those tens of thousands
and this baby. I notice that people do not like to be behind a Lexus; they're jeolous. Hey moron they are not expensive.

sorry to burst your bubble but,
your car was no more than ~$55,000 MSRP when new.
the Nak was a ~$1,100 option.
