I am taking her in to my mechanic this weekend....currently she is the biggest piece of junk on the highway it feels like. I look like an idiot swerving from side to side becuase on anything but complete straight away I have to fidget constantly. I feel like I am playing somewhat of those old arcade racing games with no resistance. OK it is not that bad but it shouldn't be driving worse than a 1991 accord with 350,000 miles.

I also got her painted. Less than thrilled with my color choice of going from two tone 176 and UA30 to 176 one tone. Should have shelled out an extra 400 and went black.

also tried to installed new speakers into the car doors and realized that the ported ones sounded better than the sealed 5 1/2 ones I dremmeled in. SO now I need to buy new stock speakers.

Frustrating week for me with this car. All mistakes of my own it seems.

Off topic I know, but how did you mount the 5 1/4 speakers? Did you mount them in the factory boxes or what? I'm thinking about pulling the stock speaker (and boxes) from my 96 and making a baffle with 6 1/2's.

well when you look at the stock enclosure it is a 4 inch with a port. I took out the driver and dremeled out the space for a 5 1/2 inch one and then sealed it with caulk all the way around for a sealed enclosure as I would have zero idea how big to make a correct port....

it did not sound as good as stock did. now the components...those sounded MUCH better swapped out

I kept the stock door speakers and put in my pioneer components.

I still need to re buy the one that I mangled with the dremel but that was my fault

the other issue is my stock door speakers don't seem to have a built in HPF/FLPF for the doors...only for the components...so my clarion unit is sending full range to them.

I don't think you will have space for a 6 1/2...at all. the 5 1/2's barely fit. you have extremely limited depth

No where near room for 6 1/2". http://www.lexls.com/tutorials/audio/fspeaker.html

I am thinking my inner and outer tie rods could be the problem
I am thinking you are CORRECT!

PS - get a FULL 4-wheel alignment by the dealership after you change out the inner and outer tie-rods, and road-force balance the tires at the dealership.

What would you say the average price door the inner and outer tie rods cost?

reasonaby priced from Lexus but if you're replacing both inners i'd just get the rack rebuilt since most rebuild places include new inners.
