Did lexus and others stop selling the front strut rod bushing?
#16
I just installed the ones I ordered from ebay for $50 bucks each. All that time, I had a spare bad strut rod.I can order another bushing ,press it in and send to someone who needs it.If not it is going in the gargabe. Not the best ride after the change but the clunking is gone.

I have found strut rod bushings (not the assembly) plenty of places. Just shopped around for the best price. Sewell has them, but ended up buying a Lexuspartsnow. I'm sure others do. Mine is a '99 so I don't know if the 1st-gen part is different and maybe harder to source.
Right now I'm looking for front lower control arm bushings. THOSE apparently have no separate part number, just a whole assembly, and after looking on a dozen or more sites I can't find anything other than the assembly. Just emailed TM Engineering to ask if they have the Daizen bushings.

I have ordered from Sewell and Park Place, the same part number, for my old 97, and one of my 99's, and just got a set for my 96.... Sewell was the lowest price.
