Here are some pictures.

That's totally normal...

Default High Idle on LS400 1995

I've recently changed the air filter and it seemed to help the high idle temporarily. Took off the battery cable but didn't depress the brake, left off the cable for an hour and when I fired up the car the high Idle was back. Funny how after almost exactly 10 minuted the car idles fine and runs like a top. $4.00 + gas makes it hard for me to let her sit there and idle @1175 chugging high grade fuel. Any other suggestions on the high idle troubleshoot?

May just be a coincidence, but that is about the amount of time it takes for the engine/cats to reach the proper temps for the ECU to go into closed loop, where it takes over all the idle and emission controls. Prior to that, the engine runs on default settings. It may be possible that your throttle plate is mechanically being held slightly open, or as said earlier, you have a vacuum leak.

Default MAF cleaning

Do any of you have some tips tricks on MAF cleaning? I've never done it and was wondering what the process is and can it be screwed up. Thanks

Generally you unscrew the maf element from the housing and spray it with MAF cleaner, let dry in sun, re install plug in, done. I'm sure there is a writeup somewhere on here. If not do a google search because I know every other car forum I ever visited did.
It's real real easy to do IMO. Would be real difficult to mess up just be careful and don't touch the element.
