when i was tucking rim on factory 16's, i wasn't low at all. it was when i switched to the stock gs350 rims that i was laying on the floor. i never changed the height of the coils either. post some pics later

Post a daytime pic if you can. I dont know any UCF20 that low on coils, with their front bumper 0.5" off the ground. Hell i'm not even that low

And tucking rim on factory 16's?
It kinda makes sense because the rear is stock height so the front is facing the ground. Tucking stock 16s? Are you sure? I cant even do that with air. Maybe it looks like its tucking because the wheel is so sunken in. You can lay frame and still not be able to tuck 16s in the front. It seemed pretty clear to me from what everyone said is that the fronts go low but the rear does not. Megan seem to have this problem on more then this chassis.

curious to see the rears maxed out as well.

has anyone considered this: running the front struts on the rear and vice versa, but of course swapping the springs to keep the higher rates up front? i would think this would slam the rear, but the front may only go so far. according to megan's website the difference in length between the two is only 20mm (front 200mm, rear 220mm in length). swapping it would even it out eh? i would assume the shocks are not valved to be front or rear specific.

they are valved differently otherwise the car would ride like crap. (friend put his coils on backwards once lol).

the reason the rears max out is because the cartridge maxes out in the lower mount.

^ right i understand. i never knew they were valved for front/rear specifically. i've played with a few coilover setups on other cars in the past and have seen the shock cartridge stop at the bottom of the mount. they need to make them shorter in length!

Youd be better off just ordering shorter springs so you can drop it on the spring perch while keeping the same spring tension/preload levels.

I'm trying to imagine how that would even make sense. The overall length of the shock is the issue. Even with a shorter spring you would still have to preload the shock and have no preload on the spring.

you really don't have a grasp on how this works do you....

do you even know what preload/tension is?

yes i know the rears are still at stock height. but just knowing how the fronts can slam the way it did with just the fronts on.. it gives me a good indication that i'm set to be slammed. here's pics of just the fronts with 3 inches of coils left. and to all you peeps telling me about the rears, i wouldn't doubt you guys. i've heard it many times again and again. let's see what i can pull off. if i can't get the rears to slam the way i want it.. i might possibly switch it backwards. ride quality sucks when you're slammed anyhows. i just don't want to be raked. i rather be a boat

Read the first sentence, his rears are still at stock height. I think it's the rake that's making the front appear to be so low.

I still don't get the point of stretching tires with that setup...totally pointless.

especially when they arent flushed out or spaced out. Now they look more sunk, throw on some 25-30mm spacers asap....
