so everything just got finished. as you guys said.. the back is poorly designed. the tube on the bottom that twists up/down from the threads is too short.. why didnt megan make a longer tube so it can cover more threads? i literally have a 4-5 inch gap between my threads in the rears, and that's maxed out. i haven't messed with the preloads yet since i have to get my car up and running for school....

when everything was finished.. the fronts were still slammed.. rears were noticeably high.. so i was raked like a teggy. i had to readjust the fronts about an inch and a half higher so it balanced out. now everything is all leveled. im still pretty low because im on low pro's. if i put my stock 16's back on, i'd be tucking.

till' i find out how to make the rears slam, i'll be riding at this height. might be a stupid question..

this is maxed out without messing with the preload:

up close:

this damn collar/tube whatever crap is too short -_-

need to figure out a way to make the threads go higher

i don't think the lower tube needs to be longer, rather the shock cartridge needs to be shorter. may we have some pics of the car overall? where did you snag these coilovers from, if you don't mind my asking.

looks "sick" is right...

and yeah, a longer bracket wouldn't do anything at all, we need shortened strut cartridges but that requires a fair bit of a design change for Megan.

+1. are there any such places that do custom coilovers that can make the thread body shorter?

i agree with you on that. wonder if anybody addressed this to them. if i don't find a solution to make the rears lower.. i'm gonna call them and talk to them about the design flaws.. i mean cmon.. we're paying for coilovers yet they aren't even able to slam for the rears? ridiculous.

they know, again, it requires them to pay for R&D then testing on a totally different shock design (they have to totally change valving, new piston length, and new case manufacturing) so it's unlikely at best.

For the cost of paying someone to shorten your struts, you might as well have bought coilovers that can go lower straight from the box. Just saying, its not worth it to pay good money to modify your EZ's to get 1-2 inches lower. For that price you couldve gotten BC's or such

so lets say for instance that i got the lp's instead of the ez's.. wouldnt there be the same problem since the length of the ez's and lp's are the same

yeah basically. But for the same cost as megan lp's, you can get bc's or d2's which will go lower straight from the box. Or you can just let that spring droop all the way down to lower your car. But itll ride like *** and clunk alot

Just buy an ss kit for the rear, that will get you a little lower.
