To this day, there are still car manufacturs making cars with chambered mufflers and all.. I know the 2000-2004 eclipse used em. I'm shure most moddern sports cars that have a decent growl OEM, has a chambered muffler. So that old tec still works wonders.

they're used because they're cheaper to produce. straight through designs require more engineering and are somewhat harder to keep dead silent.

I watched a bunch of youtube videos to figure out what sound I wanted. Changed the set up a little, and now it has only the 2 cats - to a single pipe to a flowmaster. I thought back to my Subaru days, and then it hit me... Blitz Nur Spec!! - So I ordered one It's going to be amazing!! - I mean, it HAS to be!! :P

it's a higher pitched sound. if that's what you want then go with it.

^Any exhaust can run you up in price. You can remove little things here and there from your OEM, and just slap any ole' cannister on there for rather cheap - If you go full custom, even for crush bends, you can still end up spending a lot. Higher end brands will cost higher prices of course.

Sounds almost Bassani or E90 m3 like.

This one also sounds good

Here is my conservative setup. Removed all 3 resonators. I like the fact that there is no drone whatsoever.

i'm a magnaflow fan as they have better muffler design imho (straight through, and louvered) though it does get a bit loud. 2 mufflers and 2 resonators is what most end up with.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q_qjDAVF37E is my current setup (2x magnaflows, no resonators) and it's noticeable louder in person (the way i like it)

would the same 2.25in w/ x-pipe apply to first gen ls's ?
