Default help...bought a set of 19x10.5 +5/19x11.5 +10

Fellow ClubLexus, I just pick up a set of 19x10.5 +5 and 19x11.5 +10 WALD Wheels very clean and brand new custom reliped for $1800. Now my concern is I'm putting them on my 98 ls400, "what size tires best fit them" and I'm looking to stretch the tires too? Thanks guys any info well help........

oh boy those are some pretty aggressive numbers. hope the front clears the brakes. i would try to get some small tires like a 225/35 for the front and a 235/35 for the rear. planning on doing bodywork?

i'm running a 10.5 +0 up front and i had to pull the front fenders quite a bit. I'm running a 235/35 but you could probably get away with a 225/35.

The rears will need a pull as well. Run 245/35. 235 wont bead on a 11.5j. I believe max natural camber is about -5 give or take. You could purchase some studio arms to achieve more negative camber.

Do yourself a favor and learn from our mistakes.
Get a body shop to do the necessary roll & pull.
It will not look good if you do it yourself. I speak from personal experience.
My car is in the shop getting this done right now after doing do it myself and dimpling the crap out of the panels.
In my experience those offsets are +/-15mm too aggressive to do a DIY roll/pull. That being said my rears are hi-disk as well so that added to the problem.

Yeah im asking the same question? Super LO disk will give you problems in the REAR. Fronts need to be a hi disk. Schnitz more pix please. Thats my new set up size.

anyone have an issue with rolling the fenders..like having dimples in the paint once the lip is tucked under?

to my understanding it's ideal to cut the rear fenders and roll the front, though i'm sure that's debatable and totally dependent on wheel setup.

the OP's setup is very aggressive and roll/pulling fenders will be necessary for sure. should he stay away from cutting?

i recommend that you always stay away from cutting, unless you weld the inner and outer sheet metal back together; in which case you could have just rolled and bodyworked anyway. seperating the inner and outer metal can lead to problems down the road. i've had cut cars come in that had been wrecked and the quarters never got back right, had fitment issues and folded the seperated metal, and couldn't hold new pulls because there was no structure. imo cutting the lip is a half *** short cut that can lead to permanent damage down the line.

The 1-LS unless you have a BBK installed does not have caliper clearance issues requiring a high disk wheel.

Hi-disk adds to the problem by the hub being thicker. I had to get extended studs even without a spacer.

that's kkind of weird, but comes down to the manufacturer.

my SH disk fits just fine on the stock studs, though because of it I can't run pretty much ANY spacers without having to swap the studs first.

the LS should be able to fit SL disk wheels in the REAR w/o issue.

You're right. It is weird. When I first put them on I thought there was something in the way of the wheel going on all the way. Nope. Crazy hi-disk rear. I have about 2" of brake clearance in the rear and about 1/2" in the front.... for now.
