correct, but this does make the car move faster. i felt the car is slow with it off, so i always have the car in PWR.

OP, what grade gas are you filling up with?
Only area I can think of outside of the ignition system is a fuel delivery issue.

What about the emissions? Does the tailpipe smell clean (correct fuel mixture) or stinky (usually rich fuel mixture)

Is tranny fluid low? 1/2 quart low will sap power alot.

Are all those tune up parts you replaced blue collar quality from a local parts store or are they genuine Toyota?

Have you changed your coolant temp sensor?

I bet it's just a perception issue. If the car passes smog, you should be fine. LS is a very smooth, heavy car and is all about huge amount of torque starting right off idle, Acura should be lighter and revvier, and I bet quicker (I didn't say faster). Make the LS shed 1,000lbs, then it will be a FAST car.

I think it is all relative to how you drive. I normally drive the LS and my wife uses the RL. If you drive both of these cars nice and easy with moderate throttle the RL definitely has more pep--much of it due to the lighter weight. However, if you are an agressive driver and "get on it" more, in my case there is little doubt the LS has more snap. From 70-100 WOT it's not even close.

well I must admit, I neglected to use the PWR button , so gonna try that - and yes, tune up parts were genuine Toyota, and I have changed the temp sensor (not Toyota), gonna change upstream O2 sensors next, which I don't think is excessive at 116K, as they are 16 years old!
