Default stiff gas pedal.

My gas pedal is tough and I have put a lot of pressure on it to speed up. Feels like a heavy clutch pedal. Any thoughts on how to make it more sensitive or easier to press

probably either something stuck behind it or your throttle cable is binding...

you need to edit your post and enter in the year of your LS.

Is there a dog toy stuck under the pedal?

I recently purchased a 1997 LS400 and have noticed the same thing... feels like I have to put a LOT of pressure on the pedal to accelerate... certainly much more than on my previous '01 GS430. Just assumed this was normal for the car. I checked to make sure there was nothing stuck behind it... also thought that maybe the floor mat was causing the issue but removing the mat made no difference.

PD he said "I jus installed bc on my 97 couple weeks ago." on another post, so I guess 97 is right.

my 96 just feels normal, like several others..
will lowering the car like he did change any feelings??

Lowering would affect the throttle if the tires are rubbing really bad but not the pedal. I would go with PD's advice, check behind it or even in the assembly to see if anything is in the way or the throttle cable.
