LS400 HIDs (not your average question)
Ok, I have a 1995 LS400, and I love the car, love how it drives, almost everything. I'm keeping the 95 because I can tune it however I want, and Emissions isn't an issue in case I go forced induction someday.
But I want a nice set of HID headlights. Now I've installed HID's in tons of cars, retrofitted S2000 housings, etc. I'm not scared of fabrication at all.
I kinda like the 98+ front end because of the lighting, but I don't really wanna wussy the look of the car entirely.
Does anyone know if it's possible to put say a 98+ hood/headlights on a 95 car with one caveat I wish to keep using the stock 95 fenders and corner lights? Or am I going to have to make myself my own set of custom 95 headlights?
Ideally I'd like the 98+ headlight "look" with halos. I could possibly make it in the 95 housings, but That's a lot of work (which I could do), and if I can find an easier solution to get what I want that would be even better 8-).
I searched a lot, but searching HID on any thread doesn't point you to what I'm looking for. If anyone has any idea what I'm talking about and can give me a point into the correct direction that would be awesome.

You can't just add the headlights and hood off a '98 (while keeping your '95 fenders/corner lights) without expecting to do any bodywork to the front end. And even then, it probably wouldn't look right to match up '98 headlights with '95 corner lights. Your best bet would be purchase a set of Depo crystal clear headlights and retrofit them to your liking.

That's my current plan if I don't find anything else.

yeah it would need a new hood+grill at least, and i don't see how you're going to get the '95-97 corners to work with the '98-00 headlights as i believe there's a height difference too. And the bumper will require massaging too.
as Brian mentioned, crystal cleared '95-97 lights, retro'd with some projectors, is probably your best bet.
