93 LS 400 fan clutch trouble
I just noticed some odd noise coming from the engine, kinda sounded like a bad belt but worse. Opened the hood and the fan clutch was wobbling all over the place. If I rev the engine it seems like the engine is wobbling to. Could the vibration be that bad? Everything else seems fine. it runs fine just sounds terrible. Any hints on how to tell if thats the issue? Need a lil help Club Lexus!? One more thing is it easy to replace?

You pretty much answered youir own question. There should not be ANY wobbling under the hood. Yes the vibration CAn be that bad,on top of the fact that, on a 93, you probably are in need of motor mounts anyway. If you are mechanically inclined, you should be able to change this part out fairly easily.

One more question.. Should I get a Lexus OEM part, or get it at my local auto parts store. Quite a price difference! And is that your car in your profile pic. Where did you get that awesome grill!!!??

To put it in perspective, I bought my 94 LS400 with about 125,000 miles. One engine mount was torn and the other was in two pieces. I recommend OEM because I like quality. The choice is ultimately your's.
You might find better prices browsing Carson Toyota's online store, or sign up at Sewell parts online and remember to include your clublexus username when prompted for an additional discount.

You can do either one, but just remember that you get what you pay for. IMO,, the OEM is a lot better in the quality department for this. Changing them is a bear to deal with and really is a job that you will only want to have to do once. Mine were easy to do when I had mine done since I already had the engine out of the car(was throwing in a lower mileage engine,,original had problems). as Mike stated,, shop some of our vendors here on CL, since they do offer us a discount.'
As far as my profile pic,,, that WAS my 92. I recently sold her(link is in my signature).
