You can measure the fuel pump resistance at the fuel pump relay socket - no need to remove the back seat for that measurement. I posted on this recently, here is the post:

Everything in there may be relevant to your situation. It covers the circuit, how to jumper certain things out, etc.
In my case, everything actually tested fine, but at 192k miles, and with my problems seeming to be related to temperature and trip duration, and since I already replaced the fuel filter, I went ahead and replaced the original fuel pump with a Denso. Definite improvement - I had not even noticed the lack of power the weak fuel pump had been causing.
