Re-stuff Leather Seat?
I have a 95 LS400, which is in great shape. However, I feel that my driver seat may need to be "re-stuffed", if that is correct term. The leather is in ok shape with no torn area, but I feel that the support in the seat is in need of help. Has anyone had his or her seats worked on? I believe that Horta did a similar job on his first LS, before the accident. Would appreciate comments and cost experience.

Hello
Yes I had my 91 seat re-stuffed. I was very pleased with it and only cost $75 per seat.
I reccomend you shop around. Not for price but for knowledge and quality. The first shop I went two looked at it and said "its fine you dont need to stuff it" then proceeds to say well actually I have never taken apart one of these here Lexus's. So I walked away.
Next place wanted $250 and had a ton of Chevy and Chyslers in the lot. I walked away.
Last place I found and called via the Yellow pages. Very professional and told me he work on Infinitys, Lexus and Mecedes all the time and that it will not take more than a day and would be $75 a seat.
Dropped it off in the morning and picked it up that evening.
Yes then wreck the whole car a month later....But it had confortable seats.

I've had mine restuffed along with horta. I had both the front seats done, plus the bench of the rear.
I paid about $40 each seat but they job was mediocre. The stuffing seems to be wearing out already after 2 months. I need to take it back anyway, becuase the control arm for the back rest is stripped ($115 just for metal actuator!!) , they forgot to put the electric cables on the INSIDE of the leather, and I want more stuffing. =)
