Driver side Headlight housing ona 93LS400
Hello
Does anyone know how to remove the driver's side headlight housing?
I can remove the fog light housing but absolutely no luck trying to get the headlight housing out.........
Can someone provide some pointers or walk thru?
Also what's that screw for (in red circle)? I tried to turn it but it never came out.....
Thanks

Gosh, I can't even find the instructions I posted in the past. The corner/parking light has to be popped off to access one of the three or four bolts that hold the headlight unit to the car. There is a retaining screw that has to be removed first - maybe it's to keep the corner light from being stolen. I can't tell if your red circle is around the parking light retainer screw - it is either that screw or one very close to it.
After removing the retainer screw, grab the leading edge of the parking light with your finger tips and gently but firmly pry it away from the car body. These things get brittle with age so don't be surprised if it breaks as you remove it. The corner light really will "pop" out - it's held in place mainly by a little metal rod with a **** on the end which snaps into a hole in the car body.
Once you get the corner light out, it "should" be obvious which bolts to remove to extract the headlight housing. If you don't mess with the leveling screws, it will not be necessary to re-aim the headlights after reinstalling.
It's kind of an art to jockey to headlight/foglight unit out of the car body and even more "fun" to reinstall it. Do it once and you will wonder why it looked so difficult. I must have removed the headlight/foglight units of my 90 LS400 over 20 times in the 13 1/2 I owned it - mainly to test about every model headlight bulb that was available.
