positive it was 9years old. id snap a pic of it but I already returned it for recycling! average life for a battery is 7 years, ive seen them as old as 11 years if the car gets driven regularly and has never sat, had a draw or an alternator crap out during its life.
and i get parts at cost, so not much better they can do... i just gave my parts guy grief and told him next time he wins top seller of the month, so at the end of this month, he gives me the case of oil that comes in his spiff-package!

today i changed out the headlights bulbs with sylvania bulbs. i was gonna attempt the foglight mod to where it can be turned on and off with the city lights instead of only with the headlights but got a call to go play basketball i might do a DIY tutorial WITH pictures since theres not one.

I did this on my Supra long time ago and now I can't remember how to do it. You can google it. There are so many thread about this that covers different make and models.

today......
kicked the ***** out of it.....
made a 960 mile road trip. at mile 812 of 960, the battery light came on. i stopped, checked, 18 volts on my 12v battery....****ing grand. im still over 100 miles from home. so i turn on every freaking accesory in the car, headlights, map lights, seat warmers, a/c crank the stereo, hazards......
at mile 827 i lost all dash lights and cut all accesories off, everything came back, and battery light went off.
at 829, it came back, i checked it, 16v on my 12v battery.....keep going. as long as i keep it under 20v the battery wont explode.
at 836 everything went dim, and i barely made it off the highway into the service station parking lot, where it sits at this very moment over 100 miles from me.......
damn, it almost made it.

CEL popped on so I scanned it:
P0172; system too rich bank1
LTFT's were both at -30+% for bank 1 and 2.
Looks like ill be doing that major tune up as soon as my parts are in. Plugs, wires, caps&rotors, pcv's, fuel, air and oil filters, trans filter&flush, PS pressure lines and flush, coolant flush, along with a fuel system flush, intake flush, MAF cleaning and new O2 sensors. I was doing all of that anyways, so if it fixes the fuel trim issue or not, at least I'm starting with a blank canvas for diagnostics.
