Default Idler pulley for drive belt, saved some $$$$

The idler pulley for my serpentine drive belt was failing, and I priced new ones for $50 to $75 ! ! !

I found just the bearing......... a 6301 double sealed Nachi brand on ebay for $10.

I had to knock the old one out of my pulley and pressed the new one in with the old bearing and then a properly sized socket to finish the last bit my bench vise.

It took maybe 10-20 minutes of effort to install the new one.

It's like brand new.

Saved me some $$$$$$

Maybe this will save someone else some too.

you can do basically the same trick with your Idle Air Control Valve (IACV) and take the cost down to around $50 rather than $800+
