Default wiper motor problem

Hey guys I've seem to have a problem with my wiper motor.. its only going in one direction. I just replace the wiper motor yesterday because when I got the car the motor was shot. So I'm stuck on how to get it to work right.

Thanks

what do you mean it only goes in one direction?
it just goes to one side and stops or the motor just does one revolution per cycle?

if it's the later, its the linkage that makes the arms go back, not the motor. its simpler and cheaper to make a motor turn one and only one way and then make a simple linkage system to make the arms go back and forth.

please offer more detail on what the actual problem is, please
