yours won't sound like that. can't compare the sounds of something with a different firing pattern, pushrod vs. dohc, carb vs. efi, and over 100Cubic inches in displacement.

Yea wasn't meaning for a second that it would sound the same! Only that the 58 has the cross over pipe. You didn't mention if you have experience with it or heard about it?

Have seen both those threads already thanks (my car is actually one them when a previous owner had it lol).

Still not completely convinced 2.25 is better than 2.5 yet.

i've mentioned it twice already, instead of your "balance pipe", which is known as an H-pipe setup, I prefer an X-pipe for the reasons detailed in my previous posts.

Displacement vs. pipe size is a pretty well sorted standard (to some degree) but you can do whatever you'd like. I've laid out the reasons.

Yea that's neat, you might have mentioned the first time that an h pipe is the same as cross pipe!

But thanks for the info, starting to get a good idea of what I will do now.
