I'd buy it. We had a 98 with 200k that just got wrecked. Also have a 97 with 250k that I would drive anywhere. With the maintenance updates you listed here BUY IT!

 

Are the 98-00 more sporty than the older ones?

 

The 98 has a little more horsepower and a different gear ratio than the 97. I own or owned a 97, 98, and now an 04 430. I have to say the 97 was a little better car than the 98 in my opinion. It just seems more solid. Both are great cars and compared to most anything else out there they are superior.
