thats cool to hear. no i'm not that kind of baller...but the engine is accessible. if i had the funds maybe. but why wouldn't it be efficient? because of the weight of engine and car? or cost efficiency?

Is the Century's V12 only 280HP because of the Japanese voluntary HP restriction? It seems like it should put out more than that if the later 1UZ-FE with VVT-i put out 290+HP in the LS400. Does the 1GZ-FE feature VVT-i?
Is the 1GZ-FE used in any other JDM Toyota vehicles?

The 1GZ-FE is used only in the Century. The engine is restricted to 276hp(280ps) because of the gentleman's agreement but could easily make 400+ if not restricted. I personally like the Hybrid engines in the Crown series.

The Century is a production car, a flagship sedan above the Celsior (LS). Perhaps somebody here can post a pic of one.

a toyota V12 would be awesome in a LS, put a less restrictive intake and exhuast and you can make lots of HP and LOTS of torque.

The gas mileage and weight would be a different issue though!

That's why Toyota would probably make the engine a hybrid(gas/ electric) like the one they are using in the Crown and some other models. That would give the car performance(tuned V-12) and good emissions/ fuel economy(electric charger).

Wow...that does NOT look like a Toyota....more like 70-80's American sedans.

Did somebody swap a pic of a 1987 Town Car?

That thing looks like a luxury car Detroit would have put out in the 1980's, with the chrome bumpers.
