yeah you can def run it inside but i find it much easier to run it outside. the inside has many turns and bends were the air line will have a hard time going around. the air lines can only be bent to a certain degree before it kinks.

our cars have two parallel channels running along the frame of the car to house the brake and fuel lines front to back. it is a perfect place to run the air lines. i simply secured it to the channel using zip ties.

i changed my transmission mount this weekend and took some pics of the front suspension and air line routing while i was under the car. i know there are more and more folks interested in running air suspension so this is just a supplement to what i already have.

front passenger side showing air line fitting and hose which i wrapped in wire loom for protection.

routing to the frame rail

view from under

lower

into the wire channel that runs the length of the car, there is a similar channel on the driver's side too, simply use a flathead screwdriver to push the air line into the channel.

Tim,
Are you using just the standard Airline wrapped in corrugated sheathing to the bag or are you using some form of leader hose?

and DAMN?!?
why are your BC's so clean? looks like they just came out of the box!

I'm guessing he doesn't really have to deal with snow/road salt much in Cali

cali car = less corrosion than average ! it's probably still a pain to remove.

i'm simply using the standard 1/4" DOT air line then i added wire loom for some protection but not the entire length. i see lots of people (mainly VW guys) use stainless wrapped leader lines to the bags. i don't think it is really that necessary. it's more of a nice-to-have like hardlines.

I was just more amazed at how clean they were... I didn't expect any rust/corrosion... Just expected more dirt and road grime... My BC's were dirtier than that after 1 month of summer driving!

oh haha, well it helps that my LS isn't my daily driver so i barely put miles on her. i just looked at the last time i did an oil change, it was in august 2013 and only 2000 miles ago! i should really drive her more.
