UCF21 Headlight Removal

UCF21 Headlight Removal
I'm having trouble finding a tutorial for headlight removal on a UCF21. Right now, I'm trying to convert my fog lights over to HIDs (for dress-up purposes) and I have no room to work with. I've noticed that the headlights are directly above the fog lights and I would need to remove that in order to get more room. Could someone link me to a DIY, or perhaps give me some instructions? I would also like to know what kind of wrenches/sockets are necessary.

Well, more specifically a 98-00. Last I checked, UCF20 referred to the 95-97 models and UCF21 was 98-00 (eh, chassis codes are odd lol). I searched and I couldn't find much in regards to 98-00.

you need to recheck, you're totally off.
UCF20 and 21 can refer to either before or after the Minor Change. The x1 designation on these chassis refers to air suspension/ultra lux packages depending on market. Go look at the chassis plate, if you have a factory coil spring '98-00 it'll say UCF20L (left hand drive).
You definitely do not want to remove the headlights if you're looking for room to work on the fogs. You need to approach from underneath, unbolt the liner.

but there's a crash bar and headlight bucket right under the headlight...
whatever, to remove the headlight in the '98-00 you unplug the connectors from the bulbs (and autolevelling motors, on HID equipped cars), remove the turn signal (one screw on top and a careful tug), then remove the 2 bolts in front, one on top, and one on the side by the turn signal going laterally in towards the center of the car. then carefully pull it out, and remember to disconnect the plug to the ballasts (for HID equipped cars).
no need to remove the bumper.
