Strut Rod Replacement (1998)
My right front strut rod has actually rotted out, so I need to replace the entire rod,
which is good, since if I recall on my later generation car I can't just replace the bushings.
Do you recommend an OEM replacement, and is there a part # for this?
Do I need to replace these in pairs?

I can post pics later, but I noticed that this part has no cushion. It is approx. 10-12" long with a bolt at one end
and shaped like a ladle when removed at the other end. Not sure if I have the right part.

read up.
you can buy 95-00 strut rod bushings from lexus.
This is a strut rod for a '95-00 LS400. If this isn't what you're talking about, then you aren't talking about the Strut rod.

Just found the correct part in my shop manual - it's called a "Suspension Member Brace",
totally broken in half, possibly helped along by the constant power steering fluid on it from the
last owner who needed to change the ps pump a little sooner.
