Thanks for all the good info guys. I drove a 98 with 140k miles on it last week and was blown away at how amazing the car drove. The car was quiter than my '08 Mercedes E350! I decided to put in a credit app on it and I am just waiting on an answer. I

Make sure its had the timing belt / water pump service other it is 40k overdue.

its about the smiles per gallon, not the miles. but generally speaking about mpg in a 2000, i get around 16.5mpg all city. i hardly ever drive on the fwy.

Here is my new to me 98. It has 142k all dealer serviced with the TP/WP and all seal replacement done in February.
