Megan EZ Streets adjustments?
Hey guys! I have searched for a while everywhere, and couldn't find a real answer to my question.
I have a set of EZ street coilovers in my 1991 LS400. The rears are great, but the front seems like it is way too soft.
I have the dampers set to maximum stiffness and almost a full finger gap between my tire and fender. I threw on some wheel spacers (My front wheels were incredibly sunken) so now they are just flush with the car. Now i'm hitting the fender on average sized bumps? Ridiculous, am I right? I am far from being stanced out and still hitting.
I cannot stiffen the damper any more and it's still very soft. I've searched about possibly adjusting spring preload to stiffen the ride, but everyone is just talking about what it does to ride height.
What would you guys recommend I do? I have not touched my preload out of the box. I cannot stiffen the damper any more, and i'm not taking the spacers off because it looked real bad without them. Can I adjust the spring preload to stiffen my ride and stop the springs from travelling so much? Or am I simply stuck with needing stiffer springs.

So cranking up the preload a bit will in fact stiffen the ride, and shorten suspension travel? Everything I found said things along the line of blowing the suspension, not changing the suspension travel at all, very unhelpful answers really. I'll turn up the preload a couple turns and see what happens lol.

How low are you? Are you 100% sure you are not hitting the shock tower with the upper a-arm? Are your tires hitting the fender, or are you just hearing a thump sound when hitting bumps?
I'm also on EZ's and on the stiffest setting. They ride very stiff IMO though. I am pretty low and had to cut the shock tower for clearance.

Contact Megan and go with a heavier spring rate. Although they don't necessarily advertise options along with the coilovers themselces they will sell you a seperate replacement pair tailored to your needs

The second picture I posted in my intro thread is exactly what I'm at now. I believe I have 3-3.25" of threads showing on the front from shock body to the preload adjust collars. Rears are max low which is not extremely low with these
Here's the picture;

Did you roll, shave or pull fenders?
One fingers worth of suspension movement from a moving vehicle isn't alot. Now matter how stiff it is it will compress and the wheel needs somewhere to go when it does. I have stock wheels withou spacers and with the Megan's on max low I had to roll both front fenders and tuck the wiring harness in the wheel well to avoid rubbing.
