Exhaust sound video
Great first post! Welcome to Club Lexus.
It looks like you have a 1st Gen car. What year is it? (Some parts, e.g.brakes changed from year to year within a generation.)
Two things:
1. What does the exhaust sound like with the hollowed-out cats?
2. Regarding the cut Power Steering hose, check the stickys for "Power Steering bible".
My guess is that a previous owner fixed his Air Control Valve (may not be the exact name) problem by blocking off the hose.
Enjoy your car!

the cut hose goes to the fresh air intake hose...right now it has a plug on it...look at the 13th picture u posted,u see a spring type hose clamp, just to the left of it is a capped off inlet, thats where your other hose from the p/s valve goes

Edit, took me a minute to understand which one you were talking about, but I just found it. Thanks so much!

cats
Yeah, mine is still a little funny sounding because I haven't dropped the rear exhaust yet to clean the pipes out. When my catalytic converter honeycombs melted/broke up, the pieces went all the way back. So once I clean those pipes out, it will sound a tad better. But I hope to just go ahead and replace the cats soon with new ones and have it purr again.

Just wanted to throw up an update on my car, I had to drive to Georgia from Orlando 2 weekends ago, a 7 hour drive 400 miles, and the day before I left I ended up getting all new tires and lug nuts as well as the front right tire rod. Apparently it was really bad when the tire place had it in the shop so I told them to just take Care of it. They did the alignment too finally. I have discovered recently that my alternator is going bad as well as my starter. I had the starter replaced the day after I bought the car in September but it most certainly is going out again. Unfortunately the place I took it to was a cash under the table, no receipt, no warranty place and I have a feeling he may have used a junk yard starter. So now I have to deal with that. But regardless, the car is still running great and I have had no other issues with it. I'll be doing my next round of work on July 14th, going to do the starter and alternator as well as finish the exhaust (replacing cats and dropping rear exhaust to clean out debris from old ones). I am also going to try and find the original stock radio for it because I much prefer that over aftermarket stereos. Just last night, I hit 199,000 miles and I am thanking my lucky stars that I have done all this work to it because for me it has always been the 200,000 mark that cars break down on me. But I have full confidence in Sheila that she will be doing another 100,000 with me!
