Wiper arm removal

Wiper arm removal
This may seem like a rather elementary question to most of you. My wiper arms are looking pretty bad, so I am painting them both. I am just trying to do some touch up painting on smaller items since the car is still in good condition. Got one wiper arm repainted, front calipers and the horns so far.
I got the passenger side one off easily enough (just loosen the nut and pull the arm off). The drivers side one doesn't seem to wanna come off the same way and I don't wanna break it. Anybody know how to get it off?
I did search Google and here and didn't see how to get if off. It's a 1992.
Thank you.

Mine were the same way, and you know what worked for me? I used a tie rod pulled for the suspension! Fit it perfectly
No, really, it works great. If you run to any local auto store and look in their special tool section, they often will have something similar to that tool called a "wiper arm puller" which does the same thing, but is lighter and thinner. the wiper arm has little flanges on it where you can hook a tool like that up, and it's designed to be removed with a tool since it gets stuck on there so well. Then you will have a puller you can use on your tie rods later! the smaller ones run about $14
Putting it back on is as easy as bolting it back up.
