This is not 100% true I was able to hook up my own after market deck and maintain my stock amp and sub without the special harness.. just took some looking at the wiring diagram and made sure stock amp got power only thing I did lose was my 6 disc changer in glovebox if anyone has idea how I could get that back I'm all ears
