Who Is The OEM For Struts/1990 LS400?
Can anybody tell me who is the OEM of factory struts for a 1990 LS 400 with a standard suspension? Even a Lexus part # (for both front and rear) would be great along with any info on dealers who discount TIA!

Not sure if you still need this information, but they are actually just Toyota struts. I just picked up standard struts for my 90 LS400 and they are packaged in a "TOYOTA" package. Even on the strut- it has "TOYOTA" stamped on it, as well as " K Y B". I paid $51.35 each for them at my local Lexus dealer.

I have the packages in my trunk and I can get the #'s on the Toyota package if you still need them. The maker of the factory Toyota-Lexus struts are KYB, but they are much softer than their performance KYB struts.

Is it possible to replace air suspension with standard struts?
The air suspension on my 91 LS has been bouncing around so much that I am considering have them replaced, is it possible? How much for the struts...and how much for the labor? Will I lose the height control? Do I need to have the computer disconnected?

When I had the standard OEM Toyota struts installed on my 90 LS400- the cost was right around $200. Struts were a little over $51.00 each and the shop charged $90 labor to change out. After tax- it was a little over $200 I think.

No, my car has the standard suspension. The struts are even softer since I have driven it a while with the new struts. They are breaking in I guess. Ride is perfectly smooth now.
Unfortunately, if your car has the air struts, the struts are MUCH more expensive.
