lovely setup plans but 10gal tank is way too much! i ran 10gals on my accord wagon and there really wasn't a benefit from double the volume. you will overwork your compressors like i did. i went down to 5gals and found it to be a decent compromise. if a dual tank is desired for symmetry, run two 3gal tanks.

As far as the air tanks go, they state an "industry labeled" volume of 5 gal but claim an actual volume of 3.5 gal. Not sue if this translates across all other tanks or not... Still trying to figure that out.
Those Air zenith are by far the best, strongest, fastest compressors I have found. One of them reportedly replaces two of the viair 480 compressors for cycle and fill time on pretty much any size tank, so I'm not worried about overworking them.

I don't want anything in the spare tire well, except the spare tire... A leak from the trunk seal is enough to damage/destroy the components I'd mount there, and seeing as I have already had water accumulation issues there, I'm hesitant to put anything electronic in the well on this car.

Has this issue been discussed here? I haven't searched yet but I suppose it affects all of the LS400's. I'm gonna try something tomorrow and see if it stops water from getting in there. I'm gonna remove the seal and rotate it 180 degrees. It looks like the area where the water accumulates, the front corners, is also where the seal gets flattened the most, gonna put an area of the seal that is not as flattened in the front corner area. I am also considering drilling a drain hole in that area so any accumulated water can drain out like they have for the sunroof area and run the drain hoses to the same location.
This will fix your issues, i promise

I will be doing a system upgrade very soon.
Im still trying to figure out the bass, Maybe I will copy your deck method.
So far Ive picked up a pair of Hertz HSK 165 6.5 components for the front, a Pioneer AVIC 150bh, a old school Zapco 350x2 amp, and about 40 pounds of second skin.

Was bored so I spent 20 mins and threw together another model, this time with 4 of the 18" tanks....

Man, I don't know why some people think it's so hard to seal up a pressurized vessel. The secret is simply NOT using Teflon tape. Some knowledge, some Loctite or Permatex thread sealant, some heat, a day to cure before pressurizing and leaks do not happen. It's really not that hard...
I have never had a leaking issue upto 600psi on any fluid or gas(not fuel) system I have designed and built, I don't know why some people struggle with 150-200psi.
Using AN fittings and high pressure Kevlar racing hose doesn't hurt either....

I think I'm going to look into an OEM sub. I'll pay a little more for a drop in replacement. Since I've switched to SiriusXM the sub rattling is much more noticeable.
Anyone know whether if you have the Nak OEM if there's any reason you can't use the cheaper Pioneer OEM?
