'90 LS400 New Owner, No Manual - Questions
Just got a used 90 Lexus LS400. Great shape, but no owner manual, so I have just a couple of questions...
Figured most of it out except for the following...
1. On the light switch, there is an additional switch or button, ON/OFF with a headlight and wavy lines symbol... What does it do?
2. When I try the CD, I get the CD Number and then an ERR. I amy be doing soemthing wrong. I'll check with son-in-law, he's in the car stereo business.
3. Where's a good place to get the replacement for the Temp/Time LCD. I is working but almost impossible to see.. I can eplace it myself, but need to know where to get anotehr one of get this one fixed.
4. Can I get a manual at the dealer?
Any help appreciated...

I can't help you on 1 and 3, but as for #2, errors on the CD, trying flipping your CD's over. Sounds like they're in upside down.
For #4, the manual, do a search on the threads here and you'll find some ideas for where to get manuals.

#1 - yellow fog lights
#3 - I know a local shop that charges about $350 for a factory replacement. Otherwise there is a shop in northern california which repairs LCD's for around $250. If the LED's are burnt out this will be extra. Maybe someone here has the adddress and phone number.
#4 Yes you can get the manual at the dealer but expect to pay little too much. Try Steve Ganz @ Carson Toyota 800-908-6968. His screen name here is SUPRATRD

Thanks guys...
I finally figured out it was the FOG lights, by turning everything on and walking aound the vehicle... DUH!
Going to try cleaning the CD, looks like that may be if, if not son-in-law is install manager for Good Guys so he can fix it next trip home..
Will follow the advise on the LCD and manual and keep searching the forums.
Tried to register at lexus.com, but they are not taking info anymore... ?

I tried to order an owner's manual for my car from lexus.com and couldn't get connected either (some system error). I called customer service on the number given in the system error message and they took my order by phone. Totally free and expected to be here in a week or two. I also emailed customer service asking if they knew where I could get original sales brochures for my 96 SC400. They're sending me a set, again no charge. When they charge they really charge so every now and then they give us a freebie to keep us coming back!
Thanks Lexus Customer Service
