I'm soon giving up to get this part, just have to give it a last try here in case of some new readers; does anyone have an idea where to get this LCD for the dual climate version AC? :-/

The most irritating part is that if I google "Lexus LS400 1992 LCD for Rear Air Conditioner", then there are plenty of websites claiming to have it for sale, but when it comes down to it they all seem to origin from the same people/place/chinese factory and they are out of stock and not able to tell if they will produce it anymore. I must have sent about 15 e-mails to different webshops by now. :-(

Incredible, after months of seeking and about 15 chinese webshops that advertised the part but didn't have it when it got down to it, I finally found a dealer who had one piece left, they sent a picture of it and it seems correct. They are sending it today, will receive it in a few weeks I guess, fingers crossed! :-) :-)

Nice.
We have all of the LCD's aside from that small one for the dual climate front AC control unit.
We have Soarer RHD, RHD Celsior 90-92, and Celsior 93-94 along with the LHD SC, 90-92 LS and 93-94 LS.

Yes, those parts are not hard to get, on eBay or other webshops. But I guess there will be an aftermarket for the dual version like mine too, so someone should produce at new bach of those again, you dealers should ask the factories to make it.

Shop owners often ask me to help to fix units that use a LCD panel. But most of them are not easy to fix because of the low availability.
I sometimes use a LCD panel designed for a clock or a calculator instead of those original parts adding a home made interface circuit. This is better than nothing but it doesn't look the same with the original. Also indications are some what different as well as it is a time consuming job to make. Compared with this, ECU failures are just easy to fix because I only need to replace capacitors, semiconductors or resistors that are rather easy to obtain.

Ready for action! Knut1 doing things he has not done for 20 years, and he did not actually do it even then ;-) Removing the old LCD...
Gone!
Got to clean some old soldering and fluss...
Ready for a new guest!
Fastened and ready for the serious soldering.
Done! Time to put everything together again.
Wires in place, ignition on... very high heart rate now... Yohoo! It's flawless! :-D
Everything in place again. Hmmm... now the radio LCD looks weak...compared to the A/C :-P
