I guess I'll put stock bulbs back in and see the next time I get hassled what their reason for pulling me over is.
The miles add up in a year. And I only seem to get pulled over in a 30 mile radius of my family home.
*edit* its scary how google tracks you.

my car is modded to death..lowered..tinted windows beyond legal..sound system..chrome wheels and low profile tires, angel eye headlights, chrome grille and I never get hasseled so don't tell me its expected. maybe u were profiled maybe not but looking at ur car it doesn't scream gangsta to me..and btw a stock LS is a boring LS!
And I was talking about "young" and not necessarily "gangsta". The relationship between age and criminal behavior is well known: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_d10O_hIPQF...CrimeGraph.gif

It must depend on where you drive and police policy ... and maybe your local police have come to know you. A friend's son used to be stopped so often that she took to listening to a police scanner to keep track of him. His highly modded "arrest me red" Corolla and booming sound system were a bit much for the Olathe, Kansas police.

Small world, isn't it? I lived in Olathe from Jan 1, 1980 to Jan 1, 2000 - exactly 20 years - and now live about 20 blocks from the north edge of it. The Olathe authorities are well known for not tolerating much $#!+ as I found out myself when I got neighbors prosecuted for doing bad things.

Profiled again? - Yes
I agree. You were profiled. While I'm not familiar with the average demographics of the area in NC where you were stopped, my guess is that it's not as "urban" as where you usually wouldn't get a second look. All I'm saying is that certain cars draw more attention in some areas of the country than others. It's like a jacked up 4x4 with a confederate flag decal in the rear window draws looks of suspicion while cruising back alleys in the hood. Similar suspicion arises when a blinged out four door family car finds its way into a rural environment. Your modified four door family car looks about the same to the rural police officer as the modified four door family car in the picture below. So yes, you were profiled as would be expected.
