Exhaust questions???
I have a 1990 Lexus LS400, and was wondering what people were using for exhaust. I can't seem to find anyone who make exhaust for the car. Is the set up similar to the GS. My friend told me to do Flow Masters, but I'm a little unsure. I want something that sounds deep and grunty, but clean. I think that exhaust on this car would sound awesome since its a V8. Please tell me what you guys are running and if you like it.

Don't go flowmasters if you want that DEEP sound. They give a more raspy, hot rod sound.
There are many exhausts made but are hard to find items usually from Japan. Remember though for the most part any exhaust can be made to fit a car.
My guess along with yours is that the GS exhaust is pretty similar to the LS.
I'm sure some others here will have some input. Try the search function with the keyword 'exhasut.' Specify the LS forums.

If you have reviewed my posts you probably have guessed that just changing mufflers is not going to give you any noticeable power. If your goal is a cool sound... my favorite V8 mufflers are the Dynomax Super Turbos. These are on the quiet end but make the engine sound deep and strong. You will need to remove the silencers in order to get much tone out of the DSTs. If it is too loud you can add resonators. You would need the center-in-side-out in either 2.25 or 2.50 size. These are only $35 each. I would paint them flat black and use some nice oval tips.
For a nice look at a twin 3" system look here:

remember that this is a twin turbo car and 3" pipes on a stock car will probably hurt power. Twin 2.25s are plenty.
