Bahaha I wish it was a manual ... Its auto =(

The P/O did that - cut up the shift selector and got a ball on there somehow. To my knowledge, NO LS came with an option for a manual tranny. Of course, some people swap them in.

I may be wrong, but I seem to remember reading somewhere that there was about 2 years where a manual option was available for an LS (second gen I think). I will try and find it again, but I may be getting mixed up here or misread something about a swap...

 

It looks like around 2007 there was an option for a manual trans in at least a LS470. Thats what I could find with a quick search. There may well be others, its just that that one poped up straight away in a google search.

Just looked some more. Not sure how reliable this source is, but it looks like there may have been a manual option for the LS400 from 90 to 2000.
Have a look at this ebay ad for a manual trans rear main seal and see the Lexus list of cars its fits.
