there is no baffle in the brake fluid reservoir but there is a screen in there and possibly a float connected to an indicator light telling you if you are low.

The E34 was 5spd so that make's sense Randal, thanks.

Also good to know about that brake reservoir screen and possible float as well.

Was a little worried about re-sealing the oil pump on the block/no.1 pan, without dropping the no.1, just to be safe I threw a hell of a lot of FIPG/Permatex Ultra Grey RTV on that side so it wouldn't slide off when I slid the pump housing on.

I'm disappointed about this... Lexus orders me the right bolt but, what in the hell? They still screw it up....

EDIT: Bolt in question is Idler pulley bolt/idler pulley no. 2 bolt in Toyota online documentation.

If I could get a response from someone who is very knowledgeable with part #'s on these small parts or someone who has access to a knowledgeable parts desk employee because the guys at Lexus here clearly don't have a proper index or some other issue.

The part # for this incorrect bolt they ordered me is 90080-10313

I've also E-mailed Sewell parts to get help on the matter, I really don't want to have to take the bolt to a machine shop and get a custom job done on it, I'm looking at parts listings on LexusPartsNow and seeing as how this bolt is very close to being the right one, I'm seeing a similar PN in the subtree for Idler Pulley assemblee; BOLT, WASHER BASED H
Replaced by: 90080-10315 - Original PN - 90105-10248.

Looking at multiple different Lexus dealers online diagrams, this appear to be completely correct information, sounds like your local Lexus parts counter is staffed by Beavis & Butthead

Great! For future reference in similar matters Cowboy can you link me to these online diagram access points you speak of? My FSM doesn't state part numbers in the diagrams, just torque values.

well you could start with Sewell Lexus - it is probably the easiest to use.

I did try that at first, I'm able to search and pull up part #'s on there, but for some reason I can't find the link on the page anywhere to open these diagrams, I guess I need a dumbed down step by step navigation tree.

EDIT: Nevermind, I searched a different part number in that diagram on Sewell again and got the diagram on the results page, for some reason it wouldn't give me one before just by searching the bolt number.
