brakes!
I did some searching but most google results show advertisement.
Wil be changing out the brakes on my 2000 ls400. Has the big calipers in the front (stock?) as the old ones, the pads are wedge shaped and this is why im dragging.
OEM stuff is aroudn 550$
Power stop blank rotors and pads 180 F+R
power stop drilled and slotted 300F+R
Can piece together centric rotors and hawk pads for about $200.
What is everyones preference when it comes to brakes on the UCF21?

I definitely love the stock LS400 brake pads, they are a little pricey, but they last so long it is incredible, I easily get 80,000 on a set, sometimes more, which makes their price in line with cheap pads, the real Toyota (Sumitomo) pads brake VERY short and perfectly quiet and no vibration! - Smooth as silk.
get them at Sewell or similar online Lexus dealership at 25% off or more
as far as calipers, personally I would rebuild my originals, because I don't want to put cheap ones on it. - but some that just are the originals remanufactured would be OK

well how are your rotors? - if they meet the thickness requirements and not lipped on the edge or deeply gouged or warped from idiots over-torqueing them, then there is no reason to replace them. - mine are original and never even turned before, but I have always used the stock LS400 pads.

a little bit of record grooves is not a big deal, make sure there is no raised lip at the edge and mic the thickness and post it here and we will check it for safety

Another question-how TIGHT is your brake pedal? the one in my foxbody is nice, wheni push on it hard there is a definite STOP and the pedal will not go down further. the lexus....ehhh...i bled the system, its never quite HARD. I never had an issue stopping but it still has some sponge to it when pressing firmly. is this for "luxury"?

For example, I get in the car to move it, the first stab is yikes, better push harder. Nearly bumped that parked car.
