I own a LS430 and go to a local trusted independent Mechanic in Midway City near Westminster. Vinam Auto Repair. If it's convenient for you, I recommend you check him out if you're looking for an independent repair shop. He came from South Coast Toyota originally but has owned his own shop for a number of years now. I find his rates very reasonable and quality topnotch.

A good way for a free inspection (which I personally take more stock in than a dealership checklist) is his oil change. If you bring your own oil and filter he'll probably just charge $10-15 for the labor and inspect the car on his lift if you ask.

If you need dealership work, I've found the Longo Lexus in El Monte to have the most reasonable dealer prices for service. You can also add a 10% discount if you're a AAA member (max 75 off).

Nice price for a well-kept car, unlike half of the beat 'builds' on here... you have a good canvas!

I'd suggest getting the thing wetsanded/buffed... I can assume it's probably never seen a paint correction in its life since it was a 'popular' thing to care about up until the early 2000's!

Are you looking to keep it as a DD/stock? I think some 'newer' LS400/LS430 wheels would really set it off, after the chrome emblems

Im acually looking to make it vip stanced after some time. first things are gonna be subs and tint then resonator delete. then will come the rims and then coilovers. im not looking to do anything really crazy but just vip stance it.
