Default Parking brake- Please to god !!!! Help......!

So my brother took me 98 ls400 out for a spin and dropped his buddy off. He pressed the e brake down near the left foot. So he couldn't depress it. Not to mention I was on a decline hill. So he decides to reverse it and drive out of his friends lot. He goggle how to unlock it and he did and the brake light goes off. But when he drove home car sounds like ****, loud *** hell. wtf happen to me car. The rear smells like brakes like it has been locked up. Please help me. I just spent 1k on random parts and not i stalled yet. Please help anyone !!!!! Begging

Sounds like you might have a seized e-brake cable or parking brake shoes...

you need to pull the rear wheels and rotors off and see whats up.

you dont need to be begging... just use some common sense. you have already described the problem.. now you are the problem, ... follow Shmee advice and PIONEER's diagram, and take a look, if it is more involved than it sounds, then let us know and we will try to help you....

use it or loose it.


I always use my e brake, keeps the cable from siezing up.

You probably need a new cable, or you need to work your cable free.

Thanks ya. But I took it to Lexus just to see what's wrong with it. I will fix it my self but just seeing if they could see what's wrong.
