problem removing the high pressure hose from PS pump
hey everyone I'm having trouble removing the high pressure line from the power steering pump. i thought these banjo fittings are also reverse thread but i just keep tightening it that way. then when i go lefty i loosen the nut on the PS pump and its like a 25 metric wrench which no parts place sells . i need help figuring this out it was supposed to be simple replacement. im too the point of putting it back together and have a mechanic do it but it kills me cause i replaced the timing belt and water pump no problem, this it have the job and is taking more time

a socket and wrench for every size bolt on your Lexus is available, either online or from a tool truck and often at Harbor Freight tools - it can be frustrating to not have the right socket or wrench and figure that out in the middle of a job, especially on a Saturday night when everything is closed.
some of us have been doing this a long time and are fortunate to already have every socket and wrench required on the entire car, but I feel your pain!
If you really want to get it done no matter what this weekend, call your local Snap-On, Mac, Matco or Cornwell tool dealer, he will have it in stock and likely let you come over to his house and buy it on the spot! - You are not going to like the price, though - so bring a lot of aspirin!

For all intents and purposes, 25mm ~ 1"
1" is actually 25.4mm but as far as nuts and bolts are concerned, a 1" socket or wrench will fit a 25mm nut/bolt, but not the other way around.

92 Ls400, I Took The New Pump And Found Out Its A 27 Mm. So I Will Just Buy A New Pressure Line And Cut The Old One Off. That Banjo FItting Shouldn't Be Doing This So All I Can Assume Is That The Line Needs To Be Replaced, The Car Is Very Old And Has About 600K Miles Or More.
