White cars ?
Hi Guys,
Before I start...this is in no way a criticism just an observation !
But it really amazes me how there is quite a strong preference for white cars in the US, where as generally it could be regarded as a quite unpopular colour in the UK (all makes).
I do not have an answer as to why, except maybe it is a hard colour to get to shine really well, compared to maybe blacks, blues and other actual "colours". But honestly it must be a whole lot easier to keep clean looking than my Regent Green (looks almost black) LS !
Regardless of the colour tho', I have had my car for nearly 2 years now, and it is the only car that after all of this time still gives me a kick just to get behind that wheel and turn the key.
Once bitten always and addicted I think!

I own the car in question. I like the white color because of the observations you mentioned.....mainly, looks cleaner than a dark color. Also, I think "door dings" don't show as much. I also wonder if the distribution of automobiles is more heavily in white colors than others. Maybe there is a cost issue as well. Anyway, my wife drives a white Town & Country and I drive a white LS400. Also, I have a white Ford F-250 pick-up.....have I gone sterile? The last cars we drove were Hanna Red (BMW) and Burgundy (Olds.), so I guess we've gone from one extreme to the other.

Imperfections do not show up on white cars as they do on other colors. Plus, many Lexus' have pearl white paint jobs not flat white so it can be quite nice looking when the paint is clean.

Yes
Ladies and Gentlemen,
I really have got to admit those babe's in the pic's sure do look good...special in fact !
Indeed, with those cosmetic mods and a little glass tint it really does change the LS400 from a large exec saloon into something of head turner and a bit of a playboy machine - lovely.
I really wouldn't mind something like that, even in white ! Mind you, with the that package I think you have to be able to follow up the style when you enter and exit the vehicle !
Anyway thanks for your reply posts to an innocent observation.
