Ok so as I'm cleaning up and organizing my tools to make sure everything is accounted for, I start looking at my wheel lock and it seems to be stripped a little. So there's a future problem. Since my front bumper is still off I start looking at my front passenger tire and notice this gouged area going all around the rue. When I look up in the well the only thing that it could be coming in contact with is the upper control arm but I'm not positive something else could be causing it. I know I need an alignment since the car wanders a little to the right but could that be the cause in of itself?
how low is your car? there is a metal seam at the 12 o clock position where the tire may hit. that or something is rubbing when you turn your wheel. why not just remove the wheel again and look for possible culprits?
That is definitely caused by the skeleton under the fender. You are probably hitting it on large sweeping bumps. No way that is caused by the control arm.
What is the skeleton under the fender? I know I rub the fender on the side on wide turns. I've cut the whole front of the liner off up to the front of the wheel well.
