And i wholeheartedly agree with Kansas. Your AUDIO installer can't figure out an AUDIO wiring diagram? Take it to best buy. Seems they have more qualified installers. -__-
I think it's pin 6 at the amp, pin 11, A plug at the radio. This diagram is from my 98, though.

i have a different looking diagram but it shows the same connections.. pin 11 at the radio, pin 6 at the amp. I think the wire color is probably most important. I show pink blue at the amp side, but on my diagram it says pink black on the radio side. Either way, its the only pink and striped wire I see on the diagram, so it should be picked out quite easily. The main question is whether or not the new HU can send a digital signal to the amp like bornking was told it would need. I don't claim to know how any of this (Nakamichi) works so take all of this with a grain of salt. Make that a silo, or whatever salt is held in

Tomorrow I'll try to connect the blue and pink wire to my REMOTE wire from my deck and see if that works.

Couldn't wait. I solved the issue!!!!

The blue/pink wire was CORRECTLY connected to my power wore from my deck.

Then I noticed he connected the ILLUMI wire from my deck to a green wire on my car's harness.

Since the Illumination didn't change on my deck with my car, i thought he may have connected it to a speaker wire by mistake.

I disconnected the illumi from the green wire PRESTO the subwoofer works!!!!!!

That's great. Glad it's resolved.
