Alternator Wiring
I was swapping the alternator on my 99 LS400 and the wiring plug came apart when I removed it from the alternator. It has a black, a yellow, and a orange/or peach wires. Can anyone tell me how to repin them?

Is the connector completely broken? You may want to look into getting a new connector from a junk yard.

99 Lexus Radiator
I got another connector. The colors don/t match my harness. I am trying to determine how the original three wires connected to the alternator.

Generator Connector
If different year model in GEN1 has used different colors for three wires (which I do not understand why Toyota would do that). You are going to have to look at another 99 model LS to see the color of wires and how they are matched up to the connector.
The only way you are going to get that colors is to go see from another car. But that is not easy to get either. You will have to take the bottom skirt off and then get under the car to disconnect the Generator Connector to see how the color match up.
Sorry I don't have a good news to tell you.

copied from club lexus=I went to Lexus in Tustin, CA and got this info for my 1995 LS400. Looking at the alternator receptacle with the latch tab on top, the #1 pin is on the left, #2 pin in the middle and the #3 onthe right. The yellow wire goes to #1, the black/red goes to #2 and the white/blue goes to #3. I used some red RTV to seal up the pins. The alternator is now working correctly.

My 2000 LS 400 3 wire alternator plug disintegrated.
I'm in the process of reassembling my alternator, power steering pump, and radiator on my 2000 LS 400. When I detached the 3 pin plug on the alternator the plug disintegrated in my hand leaving three wires. My 2000 LS400 alternator is on my bench and I'm waiting for a 3 pin pigtail to splice into existing wires. This is the only wiring diagram I could find that matched my wiring colors. I will be reassembling this weekend and will keep everyone updated on the success. Thank you aptoslexus for the help!

For list of Connector shells for 1998-2000 (1995-1997 overlap) LS400;
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/bui...onnectors.html
If the wiring and contacts are intact, carefully crumble away the remaining connector shell. Mind wire orientation and the contact lances will simply snap fit into new shell.
Attached is an image and Lexus P.N. for Alternator connector for 98+ LS400 (95-97?)Connector contacts also available. If anyone requires additional support, my parts counter contact at McGrath Lexus Chicago is Javier.
Consider going with a 2001-2003 LS430 130A alternator...

right wiring order for pigtail on 1999 ls400 Lexus
hi I have a 1999 ls400 and figured out the correct wiring order , the red wire goes to the whitish wire , the green wire goes to the black and red wire (the black and red wire will always be in the middle ) and the black wire goes to the pink wire I provided a picture so hopefully that helps ! If you’re looking at the connector with the tabs to pull it out facing you it should go from left to right whitish wire , then black and red wire , then pink wire .
