1994 LS400: New Brembo Rotors.....which brakes to use now?

brake pad wear sensor/ amazon carries them as well I went with Beck Arnley. If yours haven't been activated I wouldn't worry about it. I only mentioned them in case you wanted to replace yours. The part # I found on there for your car is Raybestos brand EWS107 (R)/ EWS106(F).

I've been researching this topic. I've heard good things about Akebono ceramic brake rotors.

Just ordered some. Best place to buy them.

OMAHA - "Activated" means that the sensor was worn through and lit up the warning light (by opening the circuit at the sensor tip). I haven't heard of anyone making a successful repair - you have to replace it (if you want the warning light to work properly).

EBC is a company ^^^^^ that makes good performance pads. If you are not going to use them for an aggressive application, then just stick with a more OEM ceramic pad. They are hard on rotors and sometimes squeal. They have different grades too. The most common for street cars is their "red stuff" pads. Then you also have green, yellow, and I think blue too.
You have wear sensors in the brake pads that tell you when the brake pads get worn out and need replacing. I never replaced my sensors because I'm cheap and don't want to spend the money on a sensor to tell me when my pads are low. lol.

hey thanks, i prolly gonna stick with oem pads......i got a pair for $59 @ the local Lexus. i told him i could get them for $54 @ Sewell so he basically matched them.....the guy told me that when the wear sensors are activated, you can't get the warning light off your dash unless you buy new ones....lol....so im having my guy disable them.....

No wear sensor indicator but the squeal from my 90 LS let me know the front pads were in dire straits. Since I was cool with doing the labor I cared little about comparing brand pad cost & more about highest quality available.
Went w Akebono Proact & am pleasantly surprised with how quiet they are.
If the pads fit in the tight confines of the caliper they are going to fit the rotor.
Tip: Clean & re-lube caliper pins & properly torque during reinstall. The 14mm bolts get 25 ft/lb.
17mm gets 87 ft/lb.
