Air vents 98-00. replacements?
looked on this forum and nothing popped up at all under " air, air vents, ac, a/c " been looking for at least an hour and have had no luck.
anybody know where I can find a used "air vent" with the wood grain on the bottom?
I guarantee this is an impossible part to find but i definitely need it..broke mine trying to get behind my radio lol
my apologize for the repost if there is a thread about this topic.
thanks!

Haven't seen much in discussion for vent replacements. The usual suggestion to check eBay and call the local wrecking yards for compatible LS's. That faux wood grain is available to apply on the black factory vents.

EDIT 10/20/2002: There are small clips on each outer side of the center vents that you should be able to see if you shine a flashlight into the vents. Stick a very small blade screw driver through the vent slats and pull each clip inward towards the center. The center vent assembly will easily slide right out although it may take a tiny bit of GENTLE prying with a plastic trim removal tool. Do it this way and the vent assembly "should" not fall apart. Thank forum member Billydpowell for this information.

Billy he already broke the vent and is looking for a replacement. OP search the online junkyards and see if they have the radio since the vents might not come up in the list. Chances are if the radio has not been removed the vents are still there also.

ebay is a hit or miss but you can find dismantlers there who you can call directly and see if they carry the part in stock. i'm sure there is someone out there who has the part, you just have to be diligent and search hard and wide.
