Default 1992 LS400 Cold air intake pipe 90-94 compatibility

Hello. My 1992 ls400 cold air intake pipe needs replacement. Went to the dealer asking for 17875-50010 he told me that they have only 17875-50060

The 50010 is for up to 90 91 and 92 models and the 50060 is for the 93 and 94 models. Now will the 50060 fit? I assume it will but want to confirm with you guys.

Are there any differences between the cold air intake pipes from 90 to 94 models?

Thanks.

I post this question earlier 6 month ago (Oct 2014) and would really like to know the difference between the air intakes of 1st generation LS400

from 1990 to 1992 17875-50010
from 1992-1994 17875-50060

but both looks the same to me, so are they interchangeable?

Are you talking about the rubber connector or rhe plastic pieces? The rubber tube is interchangeable the plastic baffle is different from 92 to 93.

I think a common problem with that part (it happened to me) is that the small vacuum fittings get brittle and snap off when trying to remove the brittle, hardened hose to the PS pump idle-up air valve.

If that's what happened to yours, it is pretty easy to just repair it. It's just a vacuum fitting to a non-essential component. I drilled a hole and press-fit a small section of steel brake line that fits the vacuum hose. It has held just fine ever since, and I think others have done similar things.
