Hey everyone, changing out spark plug wires on my girl's 1990 LS-400. The box of wires came with the 8 wires, 2 coil wires, and one, what looks like, longer version of the a coil wire?
Mind you, the 1,2,3... labels i put on the wires are not exact, just for counting purposes.
On the wire cap, the longest coil wire is labeled A, and the other 2 are B and C.
Which do I use? Are all 3 the same? Do they put in a long one just for convenience of length?
Its pretty simple, go slow and replace one at a time match the new ones to the old one. As far as the coil wires same deal just see what comes off and replace with the same.
FYI: the long one is not the extra. one of the short ones for the coil is. you need the short coil wire for the left bank (facing engine) and the long one for the right bank (facing).
though i believe they moved the coil on the later UCF10's, so dicer is correct, its a universal 1UZ kit. just use the ones you need
here is a pic of my old wires. you can see that one of the coil wires is longer. i have a UCF11 (1991)
